|Description||There is currently two missing pieces of information in the written documentation for the Space Rocks tutorial. |
In Chapter 2, Section 1 (Shooting), the two example images for the Create Instance action show a before and after, but the after example image is missing a vital piece of information about what object it is being applied to - it needs to show that obj_bullet is the object that this code block targets. If the user follows the written instructions to the letter, when they attempt to fire their weapon the game will throw an error.
In Chapter 4, Section 1 (Final Touches), the user is told to add alarm 1's events to obj_ship and then set the alarm within obj_ship but apply it to obj_game. Thus, when you run the game and die, you never restart the room.
|Additional Information||Please note that this issue is only in the written version of the documentation. When going through the tutorial video, the user will not encounter this issue, showing that there is a divergence in content between tutorial platforms.|
