|Summary||0031376: Preferences: Formatting characters cannot be used in Object Editor's "Default Event Content"|
|Description||Within Preferences, formatting characters cannot be used in Object Editor's "Default Event Content", as you can see from the following two screenshots.|
This was reported to the Helpdesk a little while ago and made into an FSD, but has since been determined to be a bug. The customer claims that older versions of the IDE did actually support this (potentially as recently as 2.2.2), but as you can see 2.2.4 and the 2.2.3 this was reported using do not.
|Steps To Reproduce||1. Modify your Preference in some way to use string-formatting controls as you might use in your code if you were wanting to draw a string in-game|
2. Apply the change, then create a new Object Editor event.
3. Observe the text is entered verbatim.
