Summary0030442: Preferences: [Mac IDE] Platform Settings > Android needs macOS-relevant defaults and more guidance on paths
DescriptionWhen setting Android jdk location you have to select /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdkXXX.jdk/Contents/Home there is no indication that you need to add the Contents/Home to the jdk path, there is no guidance in the documentation.

Default paths are still windows style c:\android-sdk

Selecting /Library isn't available with default finder options so browsing to the directory isn't possible

~/Library is also hidden by default leading to problems setting Android SDK and NDK locations
Steps To ReproduceInstall GMS2 on a Mac, attempt to set directories needed for Android development

This would mean the bigger issue of duplicating many default preferences values to have macOS variants. Something which long ago was decided to not do (but might now be one to discuss again).

We should change all the defaults to have Windows and Mac defaults and choose the correct one for each platform
