|Summary||0025964: Suggestion: Source Control: When creating new SSH keys the password should be used, but puttygen does not support|
|Description||Due to missing functionality with puttygen when creating SSH keys, it does not take the password field into account.|
At the moment, there's nothing much we can do about this.
Assuming user doesn't share their private keys, it's still far more secure than what we had.
It is something that we should ideally fix, so being filed to keep track of it.
|Steps To Reproduce||Go to Preferences->Plugins->Source Control|
Click Add SSH Key
Fill out the details
The keypair will be generated and will work, but the private key won't have a password on it. This wont affect use within the IDE, but may affect use elsewhere. There's no notification about this at the moment.
|Additional Information||Keys generated *outside* the IDE with passwords will work as intended.|
