|Summary||0014902: Suggestion: Compiler: Debugger runs should be sent the PC's IP and web server port as part of pushing the runner|
|Description||With the new iOS toolchain requiring a wired connection in order to push their custom runner, there is no real need any more to have users still enter their PC's IP address. It would be far more convenient if we filled-in the IP address and a suitable port when making the runner.|
If we collected the system IP from ipconfig and then chose a port by scanning the port range for the web server this would allow us to set the runner's values.
The same system should really apply to all runners when we can detect a USB/ethernet connection at the time of building the game, but certainly iOS and Android for a start.
|Steps To Reproduce||1. Start GM and open/load any project.|
2. Build it for iOS, for example, and observe that as there is no direct USB connection between the iDevice and your PC you must still supply an IP address and confirm/change the port.
3. Observe the same will happen with other platforms if there is no USB connection on a re-run of the game.
4. Think how much better if would be if you didn't have to do this.

||iOS has been doing this for a good while, but other platforms have not had the same change, so the report is still valid.|
||Moving to 2.x IDE Suggestions to ensure this gets done at some point.|
||Can you confirm which platforms actually require this nowadays?|
